Flat-fronted, low-profile and seam-free across the middle — the quiet, contemporary alternative to a six-panel.
The 5-panel exists because the 6-panel has a seam straight up the middle of your logo. Removing it gives a single flat front panel, and dropping the crown height gives the low, close fit that skate and contemporary labels prefer. The camp cap takes the same idea further: unstructured, short flat brim, minimal branding. Neither style hides a bad pattern — with this little structure, the cut is all you have.
Every one of these is a decision on your tech pack, not a factory default.
Same family, different product. We can sample two side by side before you commit.
Flat front, low crown, short flat brim. The skate reference.
Fully unstructured, minimal branding, softest silhouette.
Technical nylon or ripstop for an outdoor-utility read.
Corduroy or brushed cotton for autumn and winter drops.
The base material decides how the piece holds shape and how long it lasts.
Not every technique works on every construction. These are the ones we recommend here.
No middle seam means a centred patch or embroidery sits flat and reads cleanly — the main reason to choose 5-panel over 6.
With almost no structure, fit comes entirely from the pattern. We grade and fit these more carefully than any other cap style.
These styles sell on subtlety. A small woven patch or a side hit usually outperforms a large front logo here.
Ripstop, corduroy and canvas each completely change the read of the same pattern. Worth sampling two.
