Minimum per style

The cheapest per-unit quote is almost never the cheapest stock. Most factory prices are EXW or DAP — they look great until you add ocean freight, a customs broker, roughly 12% apparel duty and import VAT, then lose a week to a shipment stuck in customs. DDP removes all of that: we quote one delivered price and land your stock at your door.

What DDP means

Delivered Duty Paid, in plain English

DDP is an Incoterm where the manufacturer takes responsibility for getting your goods all the way to your address — and pays the duties and taxes on the way. You get a single price and a delivery date. Here’s what that covers versus the cheaper-looking alternatives.

Why it matters

The hidden costs DDP removes

No surprise customs bill

Import duty and VAT are calculated and included up front, so the number you approve is the number you pay.

No broker to hire

We handle export paperwork and import clearance. You don’t need a customs agent or a freight forwarder.

No shipments stuck in customs

Clearance is our job, not a week of your time untangling a held container at the port.

Post-Brexit & EU

Made for UK and EU brands

Since Brexit, goods moving between the UK and the EU cross a customs border — a headache if you sell into both markets. A partner who ships DDP to each destination removes that friction entirely. For EU brands, DDP means compliant import handling and a landed cost you can actually plan your margins around.

UK brands

DDP to the UK and, separately, DDP to the EU — sell into both markets without becoming your own importer.

EU brands

Compliant clearance, textile-labelling know-how and a delivered price across the EU from a Denmark-registered partner.

Everywhere else

We deliver DDP across Europe and can quote landed pricing for most destinations — just ask.

Frequently asked

DDP manufacturing questions

What clothing manufacturers ship DDP to Europe?

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) means the manufacturer covers freight, customs, duty and taxes to your door. Fabrickly ships DDP across Europe and the UK from 50 pieces per style, so your quoted price is your landed cost with no surprise customs bill. Always ask a manufacturer explicitly whether their price is DDP.

What is the difference between DDP, DAP and EXW?

EXW means you collect from the factory and handle everything yourself. DAP includes freight and delivery but leaves import duty, VAT and clearance to you. DDP includes it all — freight, clearance, duty and taxes to your door — so DDP is the only quote that reflects your true landed cost.

Do I pay import duty on clothing made in Asia?

If you import yourself, yes — apparel into the EU or UK typically carries around 12% duty plus import VAT. With a DDP partner, those costs are calculated and included in your price, so you avoid the paperwork and surprise bills entirely.

Can you ship DDP to both the UK and the EU?

Yes. Post-Brexit, the UK and EU are separate customs territories; we ship DDP to each, so brands selling into both markets don’t have to act as their own importer on either side.

Is DDP more expensive than a factory-gate price?

The DDP number looks higher because it’s complete. Once you add freight, a broker, ~12% duty and import VAT to a factory-gate (EXW) quote, DDP is usually the cheaper and far more predictable total.
