The style

What makes a good 5-panel & camp cap

The 5-panel exists because the 6-panel has a seam straight up the middle of your logo. Removing it gives a single flat front panel, and dropping the crown height gives the low, close fit that skate and contemporary labels prefer. The camp cap takes the same idea further: unstructured, short flat brim, minimal branding. Neither style hides a bad pattern — with this little structure, the cut is all you have.

Detail

What we get right that others skip

01

A seamless front for centred logos

No middle seam means a centred patch or embroidery sits flat and reads cleanly — the main reason to choose 5-panel over 6.

02

Low crown, precise pattern

With almost no structure, fit comes entirely from the pattern. We grade and fit these more carefully than any other cap style.

03

Restrained branding

These styles sell on subtlety. A small woven patch or a side hit usually outperforms a large front logo here.

04

Fabric does the talking

Ripstop, corduroy and canvas each completely change the read of the same pattern. Worth sampling two.

5-Panel & Camp Caps FAQ

Common questions

No seam up the centre front, so centred logos and patches sit flat. The silhouette is also lower and more contemporary.
No — a camp cap is deliberately unstructured and soft. If you want some shape we can lightly fuse the front panel while keeping the low profile.
You can, but these styles usually sell better with restrained branding. We will mock both up on the sample so you can compare.
Ripstop and nylon for a technical read, corduroy and canvas for a heritage read, cotton twill as the safe all-rounder.
From 50 units per style, splittable across colours.
