The style

What makes a good baseball & dad cap

A baseball cap is the style brands sell most and think about least. The only real decisions are crown height, whether the front panel is fused, and how tight the brim curve runs — and those three choices are the whole difference between a cap that looks like merch and one that looks like product. We develop both structured and unstructured versions from a proper pattern, so the front panel holds an embroidery cleanly and the crown keeps its shape after a season of wear.

Shallower crown for a closer, more contemporary fit.

What we get right that others skip

01

Front panel holds its shape

A fused buckram front is what keeps embroidery flat and the crown upright — we spec the interlining weight per style rather than defaulting.

02

Brim curve is a decision

Curve radius and stitch row count change the whole read of the cap. Both are set on your tech pack and matched in bulk.

03

Sweatband and taping

Cotton or moisture-wicking sweatband, taped seams and a branded taping option — the details customers feel but never photograph.

04

Closure hardware

Metal buckle with a custom tipped strap, plastic slider or velcro, in a finish matched to your other trims.

Baseball & Dad Caps FAQ

Common questions

Around 11cm front is the standard structured baseball cap. Below 10cm reads low-profile and contemporary; 12–13cm reads more classic American. Send us a reference cap and we will measure it and match it.
Structure. A baseball cap has a fused front panel that stands upright; a dad cap is unfused, so the crown collapses softly and sits lower on the head. Same pattern family, very different look.
You can, but it will not stand as proudly because there is no fused panel behind it. On dad caps we usually recommend flat embroidery or a woven patch.
Metal buckle with a tipped strap, plastic strap and slider, velcro, or elasticated. All can be branded on the tip or slider.
From 50 units per style, splittable across colours. Larger runs bring the per-unit cost down significantly.
